Dr. Manju Unnikrishnan earned her Ph. D. degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2008. She has extensively utilized advanced synchrotron based experimental facilities at various beamlines at Elettra Synchrotron Light Source, Italy; Photon Factory, Japan; and Advanced Photon Source, USA for her Ph.D. research work. Later, she was awarded the ICTP-TRIL fellowship by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy to work as a post doctoral research fellow at Advanced Photoelectric Effect beamline at Elettra Synchrotron Light Source, Italy during 2008-2012. During this period she had worked on some of the hot topics of condensed matter physics like Topological insulators, magnetic surface alloys and magnetic superconductors. She also extended her expertise in designing, upgradation, calibration of beamlines as well as performing complex synchrotron based experiments at Sincrotrone Trieste, Italy and Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin DESSY II, Germany. In 2012, Dr. Manju Unnikrishnan joined as a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata. Later, she joined CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology and presently holds Senior Principal Scientist position.

Abinash Prusty

Abinash Prusty has joined as a Ph.D. student in 2018. He completed his M.Sc. and M. Phil. in Physics. His research work focuses on the study of the structural, electronic and magnetocaloric properties of rare-earth based perovskite materials.

Dhiman Kalita

Dhiman Kalita has joined as an Integrated Dual Degree Ph.D. (IDDP) student in Engineering Sciences. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati in 2018. His research focuses on the development of perovskite materials for photovoltaic applications.

B. Sheetal Priyadarshini

B. Sheetal Priyadarshini joined the group in 2019 as Project Associate. Currently she is pursuing her Ph. D. in flexible piezoelectric materials for energy harvesting application. She earned her M.Sc. in Physics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2018.

Rahul Mitra

Rahul Mitra joined in Integrated Dual Degree Ph.D. (IDDP) in 2019 in our lab. He completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from University of Calcutta. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in piezoelectric materials for sensing, energy harvesting and structural health monitoring application.

Swagatika Mohanty

Ms.Swagatika Mohanty is currently working as Technical Assistant at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar. She obtained her M.Sc. (Physics) in 2006 from National Institute of Technology,Rourkela,Odisha. She joined our group in 2021, her research focuses on the low temperature piezoelectric materials for sensing applications.
